This department has equipped laboratories with the following activities:

-          Development of optimized methods to measure the active ingredients of plant material and products in accordance with international reference standards.

-          Development and expansion of Herbarium of medicinal plants that cultivate and processing by Niak Pharmaceutical Company.

-          An attempt to compile a comprehensive herbal pharmacopoeia for usage by all research institutes and related companies.

-          Research projects and student theses in the fields of phytochemistry, Pharmacognosy, as well as Medicinal plants.
